Appointment Scheduling Policy

Dear Clients of Midwifery Care,

We are delighted to meet you and be involved in your pregnancy care. We would like to take this opportunity to explain how your clinic and/or home appointments may be subject to change at the last minute due to the unpredictable nature of birth.
Due to the 24-hour on-call schedule of your midwife, your appointment may be rescheduled for any of the following reasons:

  • Your midwife is attending a birth
  • Your midwife is sleeping due to being awake for greater than 24 hours (i.e. after being up from a birth)
  • Your midwife needs to attend another client due to an urgent matter

As a client of Midwifery Care you are agreeing to this policy. Our staff and your midwives will make every effort to minimize the amount of times that your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
